FAQ

HOW LONG ARE THE MISSIONS?

Each mission is generally for 2-3 weeks. However, the time can be made flexible. There may be situations when volunteers can work for longer or shorter periods of time. We are in the process developing year-round clinics where volunteers can work as long as they wish.

HOW CAN I VOLUNTEER?

You should become a member online. It is simple. See under membership. Your membership fee goes towards projects. A tax receipt is issued.

Once you select which project and country you want to volunteer, you will be asked to send your professional license online. We shall send you a Volunteer Form.

WHO MAKES THE ARRANGEMENTS?

To make it convenient for volunteers, DWB works with local teams in the visiting country and tries to make arrangements for accommodation, meals, transportation, etc., close to clinic vicinity. Those who wish to stay in hotel are welcome to do so. Volunteers make their own arrangements for travel, hotels, visa, vaccinations, etc. Check with the local consulate of the country you will be visiting.

WHO PAYS FOR EXPENSES?

We are a total volunteer organization. Volunteers pay for all their expenses.

WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE?

All valid current licenses from different countries are eligible. Once the project is selected, you will send a copy of your license online. The license is sent online to the Ministry of Health of the visiting country to receive their approval. This is a normal procedure and is required in every country we visit.

Once you decide the project, a volunteer agreement form will be sent to you.

You will arrange your own travel, visa, vaccinations, etc. Contact the consulate of the visiting country for requirements.
